The week’s are coming thick and fast, and with it comes another action-packed week of new releases. This week we’ve got Shannon Lay, Jordan Moser, Alex G, ANOTHER Ty Segall record and Bon Iver.

Transcendent folk-pop artist, Shannon Lay, is set to release her Sub Pop debut in late August. The first offering has landed, with the Cate Le Bon-laced Nowhere out this week.

Folk-country man, Jordan Moser’s new record Long Night has been described is witty, literary folk-country in the vein of the Texas outlaw greats, with nods to folks like John Prine and Guy Clark. Another winner from one of Secret Meeting’s favourite labels – Keeled Scales!

Alex G has announced a new album, House of Sugar out in September on Domino. Check out the Zev Magasis-directed video for the album’s lead single, Gretel, above.

14 albums down at the age of 31 is no mean feat and Ty Segall is about to make it number 15. First Taste, the follow-up to last year’s Freedom’s Goblin, is due out in early August and first single Taste finds our man in an introspective mood after the extroversions of the last long-player.

This is a stonker of a single from Miss June – and oh my! – what a video! Turn this one up LOUD! It’s produced by Tom Healy (Tiny Ruins, Jen Closer), and it’s out on Frenchkiss Records. Miss June also have three London dates booked next week between 11-15th June.

After his All Points East show last weekend, Justin Vernon has released the two new tracks showcased on the evening – Hey, Ma and U (Man Like). He’s continued along the collaboration route with contributions from Bruce Hornsby, Moses Sumney, Jenn Wasner, Elsa Jensen, Psymun, Phil Cook and the Brooklyn Youth Chorus among others. Here, he’s left the autotune in the box while calling back some of the best bits of 22, A Million.
