by Philip Moss and Joseph Purcell

Jeff Tweedy – I Know What It’s Like

Wilco main man, and all-around musical treasure, Jeff Tweedy, this week gives us one last advance single, I Know What Its Like, before solo album – WARM – drops on Friday.

Following up the impressive previous singles, Some Birds and Let’s Go, the anticipated long play promises to deliver Tweedy’s signature ability for catchy blues pop, that is always welcome

Besides the musical project, Tweedy is also doing the rounds in support of his new memoir, which has received excellent reviews to date.

WARM is released this Friday, 29th November through dBpm Records.

Julia Holter – Whether

Julia Holter has shared a new video for the latest single from her stunning new record, Aviary.

Whether forms part of Aviary‘s epic journey – one of the year’s most demanding, but ambitiously dazzling records.

Aviary is out now on Domino Records. Julia Holter tours the UK throughout December.

Eiko Ishibashi – Iron Veil

Having formed part of Jim O’Rourke’s band for his excellent Simple Songs LP, Eiko Ishibashi has returned the favour – having produced her sixth album, The Dream My Bones Dream.

New single, Iron Veil, is just one of a number of highlights from the densely epic record, which is out now on Drag City.

Sharon Van Etten – Jupiter 4

After returning last month with lead single, Comeback Kid, from forthcoming album, Remind Me Tomorrow, Sharon Van Etten this week releases second single, Jupiter 4.

An ambient, moody synth filled affair, only time will tell if this significantly different direction is the correct move from Van Etten…

Remind Me Tomorrow is out on January 18th through Jagjaguwar.
