by Dave Bertram and Philip Moss

Some new music to shout about this week with Common Holly, Molly Sarle, Mermaidens, Tacocat, Lana Del Rey, Thom Yorke, Black Sea Dahu, Bonniesongs, Bat For Lashes and Kim Gordon all up with brand new tracks.

Dalliance Records this week announced Joshua Snakes – the latest single from Common Holly’s upcoming record, When I say to you Black Lightning. The album will be out on 18th October.

The latest single from Molly Sarle’s upcoming album, Karaoke Angel, is out now. Twisted will feature on the album from the Mountain Man member – due out 20th September.

Coo Coo is the latest cut from Bonniesong’s upcoming LP, Energetic Minds. The album, which will come out via Small Pond and Art As Catharsis, is out on 6th September. She will also support Natalie Evans in Manchester on 22nd September at the Balloon Machine presents show. Tickets available here.

Mermaidens release their new album through Flying Nun on 6th September. The single, Milennia, was released this week, which precedes the record – Look Me in the Eye – and a UK tour at the back end of September.

Tacocat head out on a UK tour this week, which is preceded by their new single, Crystal Ball. Album, This Mess is a Place, is out on Sub Pop now.

Black Sea Dahu will be on tour in the UK during the first week of December. Latest single, Thaw, is taken from the upcoming EP, No Fire In The Sand – out 27th September.

Lana Del Rey is back with some more new music ahead of next record Norman Fucking Rockwell, which is out later this year. Fuck It I Love You and The Greatest are the two offerings, with the latter visualised through a Rich Lee video, which sees Lana playing pool, pulling pints and pissing about on a boat.

Thom Yorke is showing no sign of slowing down as he follows in Jonny’s cinematic path. New song Daily Battles has been written for Ed Norton’s Motherless Brooklyn and features his Atoms for Peace bandmate, Flea.

Natasha Khan, aka Bat For Lashes, has released Jasmine this week – “yet another scintillating clue to the vivid universe than Khan has conjured up for new record Lost Girls”, says the news release. If the track below isn’t enough, you can listen to her Maida Vale session above.

Last for this week is multi-dis artist Kim Gordon with her first-ever solo album, No Home Record, which is out on Matador on the 11th October. Sketch Artist is the single, and you can wrap your ears around it above.
